Piano as a Spine
The piano does not appear in the same way in every song, but it remains central to the musical thinking.

Saye’s piano identity does not mean adding a long introduction to every track. The piano may be the harmonic centre, a rhythmic engine, or a three-note memory device.
Technique serves emotional clarity rather than display. Extending one chord, allowing the bass to move independently, or turning silence into metre can matter as much as virtuosity.
The live system therefore does not abandon the piano. Electronic layers may expand; the spine remains.
